Planting Seeds for Growth

The concept of planting seeds is a simple but magnificent one. Just like one plants a seed and is greeted by a beautiful flower after providing the seed with consistent care, achieving goals works in the exact same way. This is the approach we take with the Savor Beauty Planner: planting seeds for growth. This planner will be your guide through it all - holding you accountable, providing you with weekly reflection prompts, and helping you to assess what is helping you flourish, and what is standing in your way.

Planting seeds represents the potential for new beginnings. Whether you are planting a seed in a garden or a metaphorical seed in your life, the process is the same: preparation, intention, and care. The more you plant, the more will grow!

Preparation

Before you can plant a seed, you first need to prepare the soil. This means removing any rocks, weeds, or debris that may impede the growth of the seedling. In your personal or professional life, this could mean clearing out any negative beliefs, behaviors, or habits that may hold you back from growth. The #1 biggest blocker to people achieving their goals are their own limiting beliefs, such as:

"I'm not good enough."
"I will never accomplish this."
"I'm not like those people that can do x, y, z."

Every time you put a limiting beliefs out into the universe, you are manifesting it into existence. Every time you catch yourself with a limiting belief or thought, replace it immediately with one of the following mantras:

"I let go of limiting beliefs which do not serve me."
"I embrace and welcome in change and growth."
"I am creating the life I want and deserve."

Intention

The act of planting a seed is an intentional one. When one plants daisy seeds or tomato seeds, they know exactly what will grow. When planting a seed for a goal, you need to have a crystal clear vision of what you want, and why you want it. Write this intention down in your planner to hold yourself accountable.

For example:

I want to work out 3x a week because I want to become stronger.
I want to take trapeze class because I want to overcome my fear of heights.
I want to drink 8 cups of water a day because I want my skin to clear up.

Setting a crystal clear intention is crucial to achieving your goals because you can't get what you want if you don't know what you want.

Care

Once the seed is planted, it requires care and attention to grow. You need to water it regularly, ensure it has enough sunlight, and protect it from pests and other threats. In your personal or professional life, this could mean taking consistent action towards your goals, seeking out feedback and support, and being resilient in the face of challenges.

Over time, the seed will begin to sprout, and with continued care, it will grow into the beautiful plant that bears fruit. Similarly, with consistent effort and care, your personal or professional growth will continue to develop and flourish.

Planting seeds for growth requires preparation, intention, and care. By taking the time to clear the soil, set a clear intention, and provide consistent care, you can achieve your personal or professional goals and create a fulfilling and purposeful life. Remember that growth takes time, patience, and effort, but the rewards are well worth it.

Happy seed planting!
